New York Medical Malpractice Attorney Paul Simonson Selected as 2017 New York Metro Super Lawyer
Paul Simonson, founding partner of Simonson Goodman Platzer PC, was recently selected for inclusion in the prestigious list of 2017 New York Metro Super Lawyers. This recognition is a great honor, since a rigorous selection process is used to select only the top 5% of attorneys in private practice.
To be selected by Super Lawyers, an attorney must first be nominated by his peers or entered into candidacy through third party feedback, a managing partner survey, or identification by the Super Lawyers research team. Candidates are then evaluated on 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition, including Bar and/or professional activity, honors/awards, experience, special licenses/certifications, positions within law firm, and verdicts/settlements. Finally, candidates are evaluated within their primary practice area, and a representative number of attorneys from small, medium and large firms are chosen.
Winning awards is nothing new for Paul Simonson (his law firm has achieved top tier U.S. News “Best Law Firms” rankings, and he has been named a Best Lawyer in Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs), but this latest recognition is significant, as it represents his continuing achievement as a medical malpractice attorney. “I am truly honored to be selected as a Super Lawyer,’ ” says Paul Simonson. “The list of Super Lawyers is well known as a reliable, trustworthy source of legal referrals across the U.S., so I’m very grateful to be included.”
Simonson views his awards as a testament to his commitment to working for justice for his clients. In more than 40 years of practice, he has always measured the quality of his legal services and success by the results he has achieved for clients who have been seriously injured due to others’ errors and negligence.
During the course of their careers, Simonson, Goodman, and Platzer have successfully represented thousands of New York and New Jersey personal injury and medical malpractice clients; while Simonson alone has recovered money for his clients in 98% of the cases he has handled, totaling more than $200 million dollars
