Paul SimonsonThis latest honor is a well-deserved addition to Mr. Simonson’s numerous awards, such as being named a “Best Lawyer in America – New York” in medical malpractice and a “Top Rated Lawyer and “Top Legal Mind” in New Jersey.  According to Super Lawyers, their selection process is very rigorous. They use a multiphase system, combining peer nominations and evaluations with independent research and rating candidates on twelve indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement by practice area. Reserved for attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their legal practice, the Super Lawyer designation is limited each year to no more than 5% of the attorneys in New York State.

Well deserving of this honor, Paul Simonson has spent the last 40 years dedicated to representing victims who have suffered serious injury and death as a result of New York medical malpractice and/or New Jersey Medical Malpractice.  Paul has lectured throughout the country on pre-trial and trial practice and written and presented to numerous professional groups on topics related to medical malpractice law. As one of the nation’s leading attorneys in the area of weight loss surgery malpractice, he has lectured at Harvard Medical School on patient safety issues in weight loss surgery; to the American Association of Hospital Risk Managers on hospital based gastric bypass issues; and for the American Conference Institute on the management of post-operative leaks following gastric bypass surgery.

Rated as “Preeminent” in his field by both colleagues and clients, Simonson continues to work aggressively on behalf of his clients. He says,
“I’m honored to once again be recognized as a ‘Super Lawyer.’ However, what really matters to me is continuing to help people who have suffered from serious injuries due to medical malpractice. I am committed to seeking and getting justice for my clients.”
